Fletch's history of riding:
Got m/c license at 15 and first bike bought at age 16 -- a Kawasaki 400. First hog came along at age 17 -- 81 Low Rider. Bought 1980 superglide at age 21 - sold it in 1986 due to family responsibilities.
Fast forward to Feb of 2001....... Shopping one day on Cycle Trader.com and came across my current bike. Drove 1150 miles to Milwaukee, WI (PERFECT place to buy a hog!)
Headed to Daytona Bike week in Feb of 2002 with the old lady (Laura) - driving in a newly purchased Dodge truck with the bike in the bed of the truck, thus the Truck plate: "HOGHLR"(Hog Hauler)
Shortly after that got the vanity plate for the bike: "BADGUY" - definitely appropriate.
Favorite Rides (too many to list!):
Headed to Glastonbury in April of 2004 for our first ride with Jess, Kip up to the Coventry area. Awesome ride and a GREAT stop at the Bidwell Tavern. Looking forward to doing it again in '05.
June 2004: Laconia Bike week -- always a memorable event wether riding to Wiers Beach -- up to Castle in the Clouds....or just partying to beat the band at the campsite with Jess & Kip & Al.
Litchfield County --- Take Rt63 North from Thomaston. Right turn at Litchfield center continues ON Rt 63 ....and talk about scenic country!!! .... Follow Rt 63 North to Rt 44 East in Canaan ---a couple miles past you cross over into Mass and "The Lantern" is only a half mile or so. Excellent pig roasts on Sunday's all thru the summer.
The Miller's Garage is a perfect place to hang out, turning wrenches and have a cold beer (or 2, 3, or more...) ---- Kip keeps careful beer inventory at all times assuring us a great visit at the "Garage"!!!!! Hope to hook up with everyone real soon!
